Bright Young Things

A stunning historic mansion situated on Louisville’s Cherokee Parkway, underwent a tremendous glow-up after 60 years with the previous owners. The new owners—a young family—intended to make the space their own, but honor the house’s history, integrity, and materiality. Plaster ceilings were painstakingly repaired, new built-ins produced to blend in with the home, and throughout, a colorful, fun, but still very architecturally appropriate decor was employed.
